WILLIAM' VUNNY" ISAACS TO BE ACCORDED AN OFFICIAL FUNERAL
The Government of Jamaica is to accord an official funeral to William' Vunny' Isaacs, OJ, CD, former Minister of Labour under the PNP government between 1975-1980.
The official funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 120 Old Hope Road, in Kingston. Mr. Isaacs who had been ailing for sometime, died on Sunday (June 13) at the age of 79,
Prime Minister Bruce Golding will lead the tributes in celebration of the life of Mr. Isaacs and his contribution in the political arena. In expressing condolence to the family of Mr. Isaacs, Prime Minister Golding described him as "a man who followed through passionately on his beliefs. His stay in government was a mere five years, but his influence cast a much longer shadow"
Mr. Isaacs is survived by his widow, Vilma and daughter Ann Marie Burke.
