PRIME MINISTER RECALLS THE LATE WILLIAM ISAACS

AS A PASSIONATE COLLEAGUE

Prime Minister Bruce Golding has expressed condolences to the family of the late William Isaacs, former Minister of Labour under the PNP government between 1975- 1980.

Mr. ‘Vonnie' Isaacs, as he was popularly known, died yesterday (June 13). He is remembered by Mr. Golding as a Parliamentary colleague who had the courage of his convictions.

"The late William Isaacs was a man who followed through passionately on his beliefs. His stay in government was a mere five years, but his influence cast a much longer shadow.  He followed his father,   legendary politician, Wills O. Isaacs, into the service of this country and I wish for his family comfort at this time," Prime Minister Golding said.
