PM GOLDING PRAISES FIRST JAMAICAN TO BE APPOINTED TO THE CARIBBEAN COURT OF JUSTICE

 

Prime Minister Bruce Golding this morning heaped praises and congratulations on the new judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice, Mr. Justice Winston Charles Anderson.

Speaking after the official swearing in ceremony of the new CCJ Judge at Kings House this morning by the Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, Mr. Golding joined the President of The CCJ, Michael de la Bastide and Secretary General of Caricom, Edwin Carrington in congratulating the first Jamaican to be appointed Judge of the CCJ.

Mr. Golding said Mr. Justice Anderson brings to the bench not just his unquestioned acumen but an intimate awareness of the Caribbean mission, the fulfillment of which depends on the development and application of Caribbean jurisprudence:
