PM Golding calls on Jamaicans in South Florida to invest in their homeland

Mr. Golding was addressing hundreds of Jamaicans who turned up to a town hall meeting at the Nova Southeastern University over the weekend to the hear their Prime Minister speak at his first visit to the Jamaican Diaspora in South Florida since taking office seven months ago.

Mr. Golding noted that very few countries could boast of this passion and connection that is displayed by Jamaicans for their country despite their being away for 30 and 40-years.

The Prime Minister’s other activities in Florida saw him attending Church Services at the Maranatha Seventh day Adventist church in Miami, the Old Cutler Presbyterian church, the second annual community service awards ceremony honouring 13 outstanding Jamaicans for community service, interviews with the Miami Herald and interview with one of Florida’s most popular talk shows –the Maxine Tulloch show hosted by Jamaican, Maxine Tulloch. The show is beamed to over 750,000 households in South Florida.
