No Recess for Cabinet
Cabinet will be having its regular sitting on Monday, August 18 and will NOT be on recess during the month of August. A report issued yesterday from Jamaica House (August 11) indicated that Cabinet and Parliament would be on summer recess during August and September. However, while Parliament is on recess until early September, the regular sittings of Cabinet will still be taking place. The release had indicated that Prime Minister Bruce Golding would be off on a short break from official duties during the summer recess of Cabinet and Parliament. The summer recess only applies to the sitting of Parliament.
