NEED A MINDSET CHANGE ON SMALL ENTERPRISES......SAYS PM GOLDING.

Prime Minister Bruce Golding says the world has changed and there are many demands for goods and services that can best be supplied by enterprises that are small enough to be flexible and intimate with the market and their customers.

He dismissed the notion that small businesses may not be considered successful unless they have made the transition from small to large. Mr. Golding said experience has shown that a business may be small but operating at a higher level of efficiency than many established businesses.

Cue in (starts 0:10 sec): There are so many areas of activities

Cue out (out at 1:26): ...economies of scale deficiency.....

Mr. Golding was speaking last night at the second annual NCB Nation Builder awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Kingston. The NCB led initiative recognizes and celebrates its small and medium-sized business customers. The Prime Minister commended the bank for its announcement of a new loan facility under which small and medium size enterprises can receive loans at 9-percent interest.

This year's NCB Nation Builder Award went to Little Ochie Seafood and Bar, a customer of NCB Junction.
