Minister Vaz Shocked at Shooting of Journalist's Son

INFORMATION MINISTER SHOCKED AT SHOOTING OF JOURNALIST SON:

The Minister with responsibility for Information, Daryl Vaz, has expressed his shock at the fatal shooting of Mark deFreitas, the son of Paget deFreitas, overseas publication  editor and  a senior member of the editorial staff of the Daily Gleaner.

Minister Vaz has expressed his condolences to the Family of the slain young man and has urged them to be strong even as they face this deep personal loss.

Mr.Vaz added "My thoughts and prayers are with you.We need most urgently to unite to stamp out the monster of violent crime in our society".
