Tour of Coronation Market June 10 2010


Prime Minister Bruce Golding looks at the damaged ceiling of the Coronation Market which was allegedly damaged by a bomb during an arson attack more than one week before. Immediately following his walk-through on June 10, Mr Golding instructed that repair work must start on Monday and that assistance must be extended to vendors who lost stock. Guiding the Prime Minister and his party through a tour of the market which is now 75% unusable, was Mayor of Kingston, Desmond McKenzie (third left). Other officials were Minister of Agriculture, Dr Christopher Tufton(second left) and President of the Private Sector of Jamaica, Joseph M Matalon (fourth left).
