Prime Minister Golding meets Haiti’s Tourism Minister

Haiti's tourism minister, Patrick Delatour (second left) who is also the minister with responsibility for reconstruction visited Prime Minister Bruce Golding at his office on February 25 after attending a regional tourism meeting in Montego Bay. Mr. Delatour said that his country has a master plan for tourism and will be examining Jamaica's leading example of how to overcome negative perceptions and be successful in marketing of destinations within a country. Also at the meeting were the Jamaica special envoy to Haiti, former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson (far left) and Minister of Tourism, Ed Bartlett. The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) designated Jamaica as the co-ordinating point for the development of Haiti's tourism.
