PM meets with Canadian students

Prime Minister Simpson Miller Hopes Canada will Celebrate in Jamaica 50 Festivities
Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is presented with a photograph of students of the St. Paul Secondary School in Mississauga, Canada from Julia Demelo at a courtesy call on February 1 at Jamaica House. Mrs. Simpson Miller expressed appreciation to the students for their visit and their love for Jamaica noting that she hopes Canadians will be able to celebrate with Jamaica in its 50th celebrations as an independent nation. The St. Paul students, along with their teachers, have been assisting the Dupont Primary School in Kingston with community service work, literacy skills and tree planting since arriving in the island on January 27. They will depart on February 7.
