CHASE FUND...MAKING A BIG DIFFERENCE....says PM Golding

Prime Minister Bruce Golding has commended the CHASE Fund for the donation of a state-of-the art dental chair to the Denham Town Health Centre which he said would contribute significantly to improved dental care for residents in and around the West Kingston Community.

He said CHASE has done a tremendous job in providing for social and developmental needs and it's an agency of which the government is very proud because it has helped to make a difference in the lives of many Jamaicans.

‘There are so many communities that they have helped to begin the process of transformation. In the case of West Kingston,  where we do have reasonably good social infrastructure, in terms of clinics, community centres and sporting centres, the day-to-day operations of these facilities, require constant injection of  new  resources to ensure we have a  centre that provides care for the people who are in need. Chase continues to play a significant role in this regard, Mr. Golding said'.

Mr. Golding was speaking recently at the presentation of the new dental chair by The CHASE fund to the Denham Town health Centre in West Kingston.

Chief Executive Officer of the CHASE Fund, Billy Heaven announced that with the increase in lifestyle diseases, CHASE is working on a project to provide diabetic centres across the island. He said the fund would be playing its part in providing group health care throughout Jamaica. Mr. Heaven said CHASE would follow-up the Denham Town Dental project to see the work being done in the community.

Dental surgeon for the Denham Town Health Centre, Dr. Phillip Staple expressed the Centre's appreciation for the much needed dental chair. He noted that his medical team was determined to deliver proper dental care for both children and the elderly in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
