Subjects and Departments
The Jamaica (Constitution) Order in Council, 1962 (Section 10 (1), provides for the establishment of the Office of the Prime Minister. The main role of the Office of the Prime Minister is to support the Prime Minister in providing leadership and direction for an efficient and effective Government.
The responsibilities of the Office of the Prime Minister are set out in the Jamaica Gazette. They are divided into two areas the Subjects the Departments that have responsibility for each area.
